The RARE Spot: Terms & Conditions

Welcome to The RARE Spot! These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of our website and services. By accessing our platform or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Who We Are
The RARE Spot is a global logistics and shopping assistant service based in Hong Kong. We act as your bridge to Asian marketplaces, helping customers purchase, inspect, and ship specialty goods and collectibles that are otherwise difficult to access.
2. Our Service Scope
What we do:
- Assist in purchasing from hand-picked Asian sellers and marketplaces.
- Provide secure domestic shipping to our central warehouse.
- Perform product inspection, quantity verification, and packaging optimisation.
- Arrange international logistics and tracking to your destination.
What we do not do:
- We are not the manufacturer of the products.
- We do not provide official product authentication unless otherwise arranged.
- We do not open factory-sealed collectibles (e.g., Blind Boxes) to preserve their value.
3. The RARE Pass – Service Contract
Every order includes the RARE Pass, which bundles all essential logistics and sourcing services into one fee.
- Authorisation: By using our service, you authorise us to inspect, repack, and forward your items, and to dispose of original bulk shipping materials to optimise transit.
- Non-Refundable Status: The RARE Pass is a service contract. This service is fully performed the moment your order is dispatched from our warehouse. Therefore, the RARE Pass fee is strictly non-refundable once the item has been shipped.
4. Product Inspection & Handling
When your items arrive at our warehouse:
- We inspect for visible defects, quantity, size, and colour.
- We do not test electronics or open sealed mystery/blind box items.
- Items failing air shipping safety rules may be held or returned to the seller at your cost.
5. Cancellations
- Before Purchase: If we have not yet purchased the item from the seller, you may cancel for a full refund.
- After Purchase (Before Shipment): If the item has been bought but not yet shipped internationally, success depends on the seller’s policy. Restocking fees or local return shipping costs may be deducted from your refund.
- After International Shipment: Once processed for international shipping, cancellations are no longer possible. Logistics fees and the RARE Pass are non-refundable.
6. Pricing & Contract Formation
- 6.1 Accuracy: We strive for pricing accuracy, but errors may occur. If an item is listed at an incorrect (lower) price due to a technical error, we are not obligated to fulfill the order at that price.
- 6.2 Contract: A binding contract is only formed when we have processed your order and dispatched the goods. We reserve the right to decline any order due to stock unavailability or suspected fraud.
7. Shipping & Delivery
- 7.1 Estimates: Standard international shipping is estimated at 10–14 business days. These are estimates, not guarantees.
- 7.2 Made-to-Order Items: Certain products, such as Customised Items, Hair Wigs, and Hair Extensions, typically require 1–2 weeks of preparation time before they reach our warehouse. If your order includes these items, the entire shipment will be held until all items are ready.
- 7.3 Delays: We are not liable for delays caused by customs clearance, local carrier performance, or holidays.
8. Returns & Refunds
Our full Return Policy is incorporated here:
- UK/EU Customers: You have 14 days from delivery to request a return for "Change of Mind."
- Condition: Items must be returned factory-sealed. Opened Blind Boxes/Mystery items are strictly non-returnable.
- Return Logistics: All returns must be sent to our warehouse in Asia via tracked shipping at the customer’s expense.
- Faulty Items: Claims for damage must be made within 48 hours of delivery with photo/video evidence. We do not offer refunds for minor cosmetic damage to the outer box/packaging.
9. Missing Parcels & Liability
- 9.1 Proof of Delivery: If tracking shows "Delivered" with photo/GPS evidence, our service is fulfilled.
- 9.2 Safe Place: If you nominate a "Safe Place" with the courier, you accept full liability for the parcel once delivered to that location.
- 9.3 Theft: To process a claim for a parcel marked "Delivered" but not received, a Police Crime Reference Number (CRN) is mandatory.
10. Customs, Duties, and Taxes
While we aim for smooth delivery, any import duties or local clearance fees levied by your country are the sole responsibility of the customer. If a parcel is returned to Asia because you refused to pay customs fees, the RARE Pass and return shipping costs will be deducted from your refund.
11. Account Security
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account login. The RARE Spot reserves the right to terminate accounts for policy abuse, fraudulent chargeback activity, or violation of import laws.
12. Privacy & Changes
- Privacy: We collect only the data needed to process your order. We never sell your data.
- Changes: We may update these Terms at any time. Your continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
